Iskander systems practice strikes on 'enemy' airfields, railway junctions in Russia's Kaliningrad region

MOSCOW. Aug 7 (Interfax) - Iskander-M mobile short-range ballistic missile systems have struck the command posts, airfields, railway junctions and other critical infrastructure of a mock enemy during an exercise in the Kaliningrad region, Russia's Baltic Fleet said.

"Having received the coordinates, the Iskander-M mobile short-range ballistic missile systems made training (electronic) missile launches at 'enemy' objects," the Baltic Fleet's press service said in a statement on Monday.

This was a scheduled exercise and took place in line with the tasks of a camp assembly of Baltic Fleet missile units, it said. Several Iskander-M mobile short-range ballistic missile systems took part in the exercise, it said.
