MOSCOW. Aug 9 (Interfax) - Western countries' readiness to invest substantial resources in Ukraine creates a risk of further conflict escalation, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.
"The West's readiness to invest a substantial amount of available resources in Ukraine in order to turn the tide on the battlefield in its favor creates serious risks of further conflict escalation," Shoigu said at a ministry board meeting on Wednesday.
In particular, NATO members "are actively considering the delivery of F-16 tactical fighter jets to Kiev," he said.
