Russian Defense Ministry board to discuss establishment of Moscow, Leningrad military districts, reinforcement of units in west - Shoigu (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Aug 9 (Interfax) - The Russian Defense Ministry board will discuss the establishment of the Moscow and Leningrad military districts with the simultaneous reinforcement of units stationed on Russia's western borders at a meeting on Wednesday, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.

"Today's board meeting will address the establishment of the Moscow and Leningrad military districts with the simultaneous reinforcement of the Russian Armed Forces' contingents stationed on our western borders," Shoigu said in his opening remarks.

"The threats to Russia's military security require a timely and adequate response," Shoigu said.

"We will discuss measures to neutralize them at the meeting and will make respective decisions," he said.
