VLADIMIR. Aug 9 (Interfax) - A criminal investigation has been opened against a former employee of Correctional Facility No. 7 of the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service's branch for the Vladimir region, who is suspected of disclosing a state secret, the regional department of the Federal Security Service (FSB) said.
Investigators have established that the suspect passed state-secret information to a person who had no access to this information, which dealt with the forms and methods of carrying out investigative operations at the penitentiary.
The case has been opened on charges of disseminating information that constitutes a state secret.
At the same time, investigators did not find any signs of high treason and espionage in the suspect's activities, the FSB department said.
Nevertheless, the man was dismissed from his job at the penitentiary, it said.
