Western coalition aircraft violate Syrian airspace over 20 times in past day - Russian military

MOSCOW. Aug 10 (Interfax) - Aircraft of the U.S.-led international antiterrorist coalition continue to cause dangerous situations in Syria's sky, carrying out flights in breach of the deconfliction protocols and with violations of Syrian airspace, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria Rear Adm. Vadim Kulit said at a press briefing on Wednesday.

"Over the past 24 hours, the coalition committed 12 breaches of the December 9, 2019 deconfliction protocols, related to flights of unmanned aerial vehicles that were not agreed with the Russian side," Kulit said.

Furthermore, "12 violations by one pair of coalition F-16 fighter jets, two pairs of F-35 fighter jets, two pairs of Typhoon fighter jets, and two MQ-1C multipurpose unmanned aircraft were registered in the Al-Tanf area," he said.
