BAKU. Aug 10 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone call with acting U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Yuri Kim on Wednesday, Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry said.
"During the telephone conversation, the parties discussed the agenda of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States, issues stemming from the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the situation in the region," the ministry said in a statement.
Bayramov pointed to "the unacceptability of steps by Armenia to make territorial claims to Azerbaijan, of the refusal to fully withdraw Armenian armed forces from the territory of Azerbaijan and of interference in the country's internal affairs."
"Armenia is continuing provocations against the Lachin border checkpoint installed by Azerbaijan in its territory," the minister said.
Despite Azerbaijan's proposal to use the Aghdam-Khankendi road and other alternative routes to transport cargo, the Armenian side continues to create obstacles to the transportation of cargo and refuses to use these roads to deliver supplies, he said.
