MOSCOW. Aug 10 (Interfax) - Nearly 40 Ukrainian drones have been shot down in the special military operation zone, the Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Thursday.
"Air defenses intercepted five missiles fired by HIMARS and Uragan multiple rocket launchers," Konashenkov said.
"Thirty-eight Ukrainian drones were shot down near Pershotravnevoye in the Kharkov region, Gorlovka, Georgiyevka and Vasilyevka in the Donetsk People's Republic, Chapayevka in the Zaporozhye region, and Vasilevka in the Kherson region," he said.
A total of 458 Ukrainian planes, 245 helicopters, 5,638 unmanned aerial vehicles, 428 air defense missile systems, 11,216 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,144 multiple rocket launcher vehicles, 5,837 field artillery systems and mortars, and 12,165 special military vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation, Konashenkov said.
