MINSK. Aug 10 (Interfax) - Notification of the September military exercise within the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has been sent to all OSCE nations, the Belarusian Defense Ministry said.
"Belarus is scrupulously fulfilling its obligations under the Vienna Document of 2011. A notification of the largest military activities of 2023, which are planned to be held in September, has been sent to all OSCE member countries," Valery Revenko, an international military cooperation assistant to the Belarusian defense minister, tweeted on Thursday.
"Meanwhile, Poland is ignoring Belarus' proposal on resuming a dialogue on military matters, and is unwilling to explain the actual purposes of the unusual military activities near the Belarusian border. The unjustifiable buildup of Polish personnel and equipment continues," he said.
In September, Belarus will host three out of the CSTO's four military drills scheduled for this year, in particular the Interaction exercise for rapid deployment forces, the Search exercise for reconnaissance units, and the Echelon exercise for combat support units.
