Minsk stays committed to neighborly relations - Belarusian Security Council secretary

MINSK. Aug 11 (Interfax) - Belarus has neither claims nor aggressive intentions towards its neighbors, Belarusian Security Council State Secretary Alexander Volfovich said.

"The Belarusian administration is not hatching any plans or having aggressive intentions, offensive plots or claims towards neighboring countries," Volfovich said on the state-run television channel STV.

"Belarus has always been a neighborly, peaceful country pursuing the course of neighborly relations," he said.

"The CIS Games are an example of this. The borders are open and we welcome all guests, including guests from neighboring countries - Lithuanians, Latvians, Poles, people interested in sports come here and see what is happening on the sovereign Belarusian soil," Volfovich said.
