Belarusian paratroopers training near Polish border

MINSK. Aug 11 (Interfax) - Belarusian paratroopers are training in a realistic combat environment near the Polish border, the ONT state-run television channel said on Friday with reference to the Belarusian Defense Ministry.

"Units of the 38th Air Assault Brigade [stationed in Brest] are training near Brest," the report said.

"Troops rely on the experience of modern conflicts. The exercise is being held in a realistic combat environment. The mission is to counter a mock enemy's sabotage and reconnaissance groups," it said.

The Brest paratroopers are planting mines and practicing tactical medicine skills, the report said.
