Toll from attack on Volfino in Russia's Kursk region rises to four

KURSK. Aug 14 (Interfax) - Four people were hurt in a Ukrainian attack on the village of Volfino in Russia's Kursk region on Sunday, Deputy Governor Alexei Smirnov said on Monday.

"Four people, two women and two men, have been injured. They are being attended to by doctors. Fortunately, the injuries are not severe," Smirnov said at an operational meeting of the regional administration on Monday.

Three homes were damaged in the attack, he said.

Roman Starovoit, governor of the Kursk region, said on Sunday that three civilians were hurt in the shelling of Volfino. The three individuals sustained injuries of medium severity, he said.
