KUBINKA, Moscow region. Aug 14 (Interfax) - Russia has been supplying S-400 air defense missile systems to India in line with the approved schedule, and the deliveries are expected to be completed within the time frame, head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) Dmitry Shugayev told Interfax.
"S-400 Triumf air defense missile systems are being manufactured on schedule. We plan to complete the delivery of elements of the S-400 Triumf system by the approved time," Shugayev said at the Army 2023 forum.
According to official reports, a contract for the delivery of S-400 Triumf air defense missile systems, made by Almaz-Antey, to India was signed on the sidelines of a Russian-Indian summit in early October 2018. The contract worth $5.43 billion stipulates the provision of five regimental sets of S-400 systems to India. As reported, the deliveries will be completed by the end of 2024.
