Glushkovo district in Russia's Kursk region attacked all day, 1 village left without electricity - governor

KURSK. Aug 14 (Interfax) - Ukraine repeatedly attacked the Glushkovo district in Russia's Kursk region throughout the day, Kursk governor Roman Starovoit said.

"Today, the Glushkovo district was shelled by Ukraine the whole day. Hits have been recorded in [villages] Tyotkino, Alekseyevka and Volfino. Luckily, no people were hurt, and no houses were damaged," Starovoit wrote on Telegram on Monday.

Electric power supply has been disrupted in the village of Volfino as a result of the attacks. Residents have been temporarily connected to a diesel generator, he said.

As reported earlier, Volfino was shelled by Ukrainian forces on Sunday. According to the deputy governor, Alexei Smirnov, the shelling left four people, two women and two men, injured. Their injuries were not severe, he said.
