U.S. ambassador visits Gershkovich in Moscow jail - media

WASHINGTON. Aug 14 (Interfax) - The United States' Ambassador to Russia Lynne Tracy has visited jailed Wall Street Journal correspondent Evan Gershkovich charged with espionage, the WSJ reported on Monday.

"The U.S. ambassador to Russia was granted access to jailed Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich on Monday," the report said.

This is her third visit to the Lefortovo detention center following the journalist's arrest in March. Her previous visit was on July 3.

Tracy said Gershkovich was in good health and upbeat, the paper said.

The 32-year-old American's arrest was announced by the FSB on March 29.

The journalist was charged with espionage.
