MOSCOW. Aug 15 (Interfax) - The export version of the Abakan non-strategic missile defense system produced by Almaz-Antey has been licensed for sale to foreign clients, Rosoboronexport head Alexander Mikheyev said.
"Rosoboronexport is promoting Abakan in the Middle East, the Asia Pacific region and North Africa," Mikheyev told Interfax at the Army 2023 forum.
Abakan is designed to shoot down intermediate- and short-range ballistic missiles, and to operate independently or together with other air defense systems.
