Ukrainian saboteurs' attempt to enter Russia's Bryansk region disrupted - governor

BRYANSK. Aug 15 (Interfax) - Russian forces disrupted an attempt by Ukrainian saboteurs to enter Russia's Bryansk region on Tuesday, governor Alexander Bogomaz said.

"The Russian Armed Forces, as well as the Federal Security Service's border department for the Bryansk region, prevented an attempt by a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group to enter Russian territory near the village of Kurkovichi in the Starodub municipal district," Bogomaz wrote on Telegram.

No one was injured in the incident, he said.

Bogomaz also reported gunfire by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"Gunfire by the Ukrainian Armed Forces killed a farm animal and partially damaged production facilities and an automobile," he said.
