ROSTOV-ON-DON. Aug 16 (Interfax) - The Leninsky District Court in Rostov-on-Don has convicted Ukrainian citizen Roman Nosachev of cyberattacks on Russian critical information infrastructure, the press service for the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB)'s Rostov regional branch said.
Nosachev was sentenced to two years in a penal colony and a 600,000-ruble fine, the press service said.
The court "found that the defendant, a resident of Khartsyzsk in the Donetsk region (DPR), launched cyberattacks on Russian websites and posted DDoS-attack manuals with links to malware," the FSB said.
The defendant was convicted of unlawfully affecting Russian critical information infrastructure.
