MOSCOW. Aug 16 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Defense Minister Col. Gen. Alexander Fomin and Venezuelan Deputy Defense Minister for Armed Forces Planning and Development Renier Enrique Urbaez Fermin have met to discuss prospects for bilateral military-technical cooperation, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Army 2023 international military-technical forum.
"The meeting addressed current issues in Russian-Venezuelan military and military-technical cooperation and further steps towards their development," the ministry said.
The negotiations were held in an amicable atmosphere and confirmed the mutual aspiration to further strengthen comprehensive cooperation between the two defense ministries, it said.
