KUBINKA, Moscow region. Aug 16 (Interfax) - The Machine Building Design Bureau, a subsidiary of Rostec's High Precision Systems, will supply the Russian Defense Ministry with 9M723-1K5 guided missiles for Iskander tactical missile systems.
Chief of the Russian Armed Forces' Main Armament Directorate Anatoly Gulyayev presented the state contract to Machine Building Design Bureau Director General Sergei Pitikov at the Army 2023 military-technical forum.
According to official information, the Iskander-M tactical missile system was developed at the Kolomna-based Machine Building Design Bureau. The Iskander-M system's variant for the Russian Armed Forces is equipped with either a ballistic and cruise missile.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported the use of Iskander systems during the special military operation in Ukraine.
