Two Ukrainian drone-control stations hit in Zaporozhye region, DPR - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Aug 17 (Interfax) - Russian military has hit two Ukrainian drone-control stations in the Donetsk People's Republic and the Zaporozhye region, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.

"Two drone-control stations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been hit near Lastochkino in the Donetsk People's Republic and Ivanovskoye in the Zaporozhye region," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Thursday.

A command post of the 67th Mechanized Brigade and an ammo depot of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were hit in the DPR, he said.

"Tactical planes, army aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces' contingent hit Ukrainian troops and hardware in 138 areas over the past day," Konashenkov said.

"Air defense downed one projectile of a HIMARS high mobility artillery rocket system," he said.

Eighteen Ukrainian drones were downed in the Lugansk and Donetsk people's republics and the Zaporozhye and Kharkov regions, Konashenkov said.

"A total of 459 planes, 246 helicopters, 5,805 unmanned aerial vehicles, 431 air defense missile systems, 11,349 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,144 multiple rocket launchers, 5,918 artillery systems and mortars and 12,289 special military vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation," he said.
