Ukrainian refugee sentenced to 3 years in penitentiary over calls for terrorism - FSB

VLADIMIR. Aug 17 (Interfax) - The Second Western Military District Court has sentenced a Ukrainian citizen to three years in a penitentiary over public calls for terrorism, the press service for the Vladimir regional branch of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said.

The convict arrived in the Vladimir region in March 2022 with a group of refugees from the special military operation zone and was accommodated at a shelter, the FSB said.

The court found that the man knowingly posted several comments in a Telegram chat in November 2022. The comments contained calls for terrorism.

He was charged with public calls for terrorism.
