KRASNOGORSK. Aug 21 (Interfax) - Two people were hurt in a drone attack on Monday morning, governor of the Moscow region Andrei Vorobyov said.
"Air defense intercepted two drones in the west and northwest of the Moscow region this morning. In one of these cases, debris fell on a house in the Dorozhnik gardening community in the Istra municipality. There were two casualties. A man was taken to a hospital and a woman declined hospitalization," Vorobyov said on Telegram.
Windows were smashed in three houses, he said.
"All emergency services are working at the scene," Vorobyov said.
Tatyana Vitusheva, head of the Istra municipal administration, said that the man was taken to Istra Hospital with a cut and his condition was not life-threatening.
The Russian Defense Ministry said earlier on Monday that a Ukrainian drone had been detected and jammed by electronic countermeasure systems, and that it crashed in the Ruza district. Later, the ministry said that another Ukrainian drone had been detected and downed by air defense in the Istra district of the Moscow region.
