MOSCOW. Aug 21 (Interfax) - School students will be trained to counter and use drones as part of basic military training lessons, according to Basic Military Training, the work program of extracurricular activities.
The training module on the Basics of Technical Training and Communication course covers issues relating to operating and countering drones. The course states that school students "need to have an idea of the ways in which drones are used in combat and local reconnaissance."
School students will learn algorithms for countering enemy drones as well as practical actions to operate them, it said.
The course's work program is described in a letter sent to schools by the Education Ministry.
According to earlier reports, the Russian Education Ministry approved curricula for six subjects in December 2022. Basic military training was added to the health and safety training course.
