Two Ukrainian drones jammed by electronic warfare systems, crash into Black Sea - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Aug 22 (Interfax) - Two Ukrainian drones crashed into the Black Sea 40 kilometers from Crimea after being intercepted by the Russian military, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"On-duty air defense forces detected two Ukrainian drones, which were suppressed by electronic warfare systems," the ministry said.

"After going out of control, the drones crashed into the Black Sea 40 kilometers northwest of the Crimean Peninsula," it said.

The incident occurred at around 11 p.m. Moscow time on Monday, the ministry said.

"The Kiev regime's attempt to stage a terrorist attack using fixed-wing drones was thwarted," it said.
