MOSCOW. Aug 22 (Interfax) - An ammunition depot of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' 1st Tank Brigade has been destroyed in the Dnepropetrovsk region, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"An ammunition depot of the 1st Tank Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been destroyed near Vasilkovka of the Dnepropetrovsk region," Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Tuesday.
A command and observation post of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' 46th Airmobile Brigade was also struck near Orekhov of the Zaporozhye region, he said.
"Air defense systems intercepted four missiles fired by HIMARS multiple rocket launchers," he said.
Russian air defense systems have downed 39 Ukrainian drones in the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics and in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, he said.
"Tactical and army aircraft, missile forces and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces have struck enemy personnel and military hardware in 139 areas over the past 24 hours," he said.
"A total of 462 planes, 246 helicopters, 5,952 unmanned aerial vehicles, 431 air defense missile systems, 11,445 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,144 multiple rocket launcher vehicles, 5,996 field artillery systems and mortars, and 12,372 special military vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation," Konashenkov said.
