Moscow airports operating as usual after overnight restrictions

MOSCOW. Aug 29 (Interfax) - Moscow's airports have resumed normal operations after lifting security restrictions imposed on Tuesday morning.

"The Domodedovo airport temporarily restricted arrivals and departures of aircraft between 3:49 a.m. and 6:01 a.m. in order to ensure additional security measures for flights. The airport is now functioning normally," a Domodedovo airport spokesperson told Interfax.

The Vnukovo airport restricted arrivals and departures from 3:51 a.m., the Vnukovo press service said. The airport operated "with interval and vectoring" from 4:18 a.m., it said.

"The restrictions on flights were lifted from 6:02 a.m. The airport is now functioning as usual," the press service said.

Russian air defenses shot down two Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over the Tula region and one over the Belgorod region, the Russian Defense Ministry said earlier on Tuesday.
