MOSCOW. Aug 31 (Interfax) - Russian air defense systems have intercepted two missiles fired by HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, two JDAM air bombs, and two HARM anti-radiation missiles in the special military operation zone over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.
"Air defense systems have intercepted two HIMARS multiple rocket launcher missiles, two JDAM air bombs, and two HARM anti-radiation missiles made in the United States," Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Thursday.
Air defense systems have also destroyed 32 Ukrainian drones, including a Tu-141 Strizh, in the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics and in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, he said.
"A total of 466 planes, 247 helicopters, 6,266 unmanned aerial vehicles, 434 air defense missile systems, 11,578 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,147 multiple rocket launcher vehicles, 6,145 field artillery systems and mortars, and 12,570 special military automobiles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation," Konashenkov said.
