MOSCOW. Sept 4 (Interfax) - Russia forces have downed a Ukrainian Mil Mi-8 helicopter in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and have destroyed four arms depots in the DPR and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions in the past 24 hours, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.
"Fighter jets of the Russian Aerospace Forces have downed a Mi-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force near Brusovka in the DPR," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Monday.
"In addition, two missile and artillery depots of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' 118th Mechanized Brigade and the 82nd Air Assault Brigade were hit near Verkhnyaya Tersa in the Zaporozhye region," he said.
Ukrainian ammo depots were also hit near Ponyatovka in the Kherson region and Novomikhailovka in the DPR, Konashenkov said.
"Air defense intercepted three projectiles [fired by] a HIMARS high mobility artillery rocket system. Twenty-four Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were jammed and destroyed by ECM systems," he said.
