Abkhaz FM resigns

SUKHUM. Sept 5 (Interfax) - Abkhaz Foreign Minister Inal Ardzinba is resigning, a source with the Abkhaz government told Interfax.

Ardzinba tendered his resignation on Monday, September 4, the source said.

Abkhaz President Aslan Bzhania has not yet accepted Ardzinba's resignation.

A number of Abkhaz online publications have reported that Ardzinba informed Foreign Ministry personnel of his decision to step down and return to Russia.

Ardzinba was appointed Abkhaz foreign minister in November 2021.
