MOSCOW. Sept 5 (Interfax) - Russia's Admiral Gorshkov frigate armed with Tsirkon hypersonic missiles has parted with the Russian squadron permanently operating in the Mediterranean and entered the Atlantic Ocean, where it will conduct an exercise, the Northern Fleet's press service said on Tuesday.
"The Northern Fleet's Admiral Gorshkov frigate, which has operated in the Mediterranean since April 2023, today entered the Atlantic Ocean via the Strait of Gibraltar escorted by the Vyazma medium sea tanker," it said.
"The ship successfully performed all of its missions as part of the Russian Navy's permanent naval force in the Mediterranean," it said.
"While in the Atlantic, the frigate's crew will continue to improve their naval skills and conduct a number of ship exercises. After carrying out all the tasks assigned to it, the ship will travel to the Northern Fleet's main base of Severomorsk," it said.
