Azerbaijani defense minister, Turkish military attache discuss cooperation, situation on border with Armenia

BAKU. Sept 6 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani Defense Minister Col. Gen. Zakir Hasanov met with recently appointed Turkish military attache in Baku Gen. Soner Orucoglu on Wednesday.

"During the meeting, the parties held a detailed exchange of views on prospects for the development of military, military-technical and military education cooperation and on other issues of mutual interest," the press service for Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry said.

In addition, Hasanov informed Orucoglu about the reforms underway in the Azerbaijani army and the situation on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border and in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The Turkish military attache also met with other high-ranking officials of Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry.
