Ukrainian drones downed over Rostov, Moscow regions - Russian Defense Ministry (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Sept 7 (Interfax) - Ukrainian drones trying to attack Russian territory were shot down over the Rostov and Moscow regions, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"An attempt by the Kiev regime to stage a terrorist attack with three fixed-wing drones on sites in the territory of the Russian Federation was thwarted at around 3:00 a.m. Moscow time on September 7," the ministry said.

"On-duty air defense forces destroyed three Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, including two over the territory of the Rostov region and one over the Ramenskoye district of the Moscow region," it said.

One civilian was injured as a result of the drone attack, Rostov Region Governor Vasily Golubev said.

"One person has been injured," Golubev said on his Telegram channel, adding that he refused to be admitted to hospital.

The latest updates indicate that the facades of three buildings were damaged and windows were shattered, the governor said. Several cars nearby were also damaged.

Four cars were damaged and windows were blown out in several apartments in the Ramenskoye district of the Moscow region, the district's head Nikolai Khanin said on his Telegram channel.

"There are no casualties," he said.
