MOSCOW. Sept 7 (Interfax) - Russian forces have destroyed a Ukrainian S-300PS air defense missile system's launcher in the Zaporozhye region and two ammo depots in the Donetsk People's Republic, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.
"An S-300PS air defense missile system's launcher has been destroyed near Lyubimovka in the Zaporozhye region," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Thursday.
"Field ammo depots of the 3rd Assault Brigade and the 79th Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were destroyed near Krasnoye and Novomikhailovka in the DPR," he said.
In all, Russian forces hit Ukrainian troops and military hardware in 117 areas over the past day, Konashenkov said.
"Air defense intercepted 11 projectiles of HIMARS high mobility artillery rocket systems and a JDAM guided bomb," he said
Forty-one Ukrainian drones were downed in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions and the Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics, Konashenkov said.
