MOSCOW. Sept 8 (Interfax) - Thirty-one Ukrainian drones were shot down in the special military operation zone over the past 24 hours, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.
"Thirty-one unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed near Nikolskoye, Klinovoye and Nikolayevka in the Donetsk People's Republic, Ocheretovatoye and Shirokoye in the Zaporozhye region and Kotlyarovka in the Kharkov region," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Friday.
Russian military aircraft, missile forces and artillery delivered strikes on Ukrainian troops and military hardware in 113 areas, he said.
"An ST-68U low-altitude airspace surveillance radar was destroyed near Trudovoye in the Zaporozhye region," he said.
"Command and observation posts of units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' 63rd Mechanized Brigade and 100th Territorial Defense Brigade were struck near Serebryanka in the Donetsk People's Republic," he said.
Four HIMARS projectiles were intercepted by air defenses, he said.
A total of 467 Ukrainian planes, 248 helicopters, 6,498 unmanned aerial vehicles, 436 air defense missile systems, 11,721 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,149 multiple rocket launcher vehicles, 6,289 field artillery systems and mortars, and 12,794 special military vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation, Konashenkov said.
