YEREVAN. Sept 8 (Interfax) - Armenia is ready to continue de-escalation talks with Azerbaijan at the first opportunity, the Armenian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Friday.
"Armenia remains committed to resolving existing problems with Azerbaijan solely by political means. Accordingly, the claims being spread by Azerbaijan about a potential provocation on Armenia's part are complete lies," the statement said.
Armenia has no intention of stoking tensions, "on the contrary, it remains open to discussing the de-escalation mechanism it proposed earlier," it said.
"All partners keen on regional stability should take note that Armenia is ready to continue talks with Azerbaijan in this area at the earliest opportunity," the statement said.
