VLADIVOSTOK/MOSCOW. Sept 11 (Interfax) - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is expected to visit the Far East in the coming days, a number of sources told Interfax.
A source in the government of a constituent territory in Russia's Far Eastern Federal District said that the North Korean leader "might visit the region shortly." He did not provide details of the visit.
A source in the government of another region confirmed to Interfax that such a visit was being prepared. "We have been preparing for Kim Jong Un's visit for a long time," the source said.
Kim's previous visit to Russia began at the Khasan station where his train arrived in 2019. He also visited Vladivostok.
The father and grandfather of the incumbent North Korean leader, Kim Jong Il and Kim Il Sung, also began their visits from Khasan.
