Russian Defense Ministry reports downing 46 Ukrainian drones in special military operation zone in past 24 hours

MOSCOW, Sept 11 (Interfax) - Russian forces have downed 46 Ukrainian drones in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions and in the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR) in the past 24 hours, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.

"Forty-six Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been downed near Belogorovka in the LPR, Petrovskoye, Yevgenovka and Artyomovsk in the DPR, Ocheretovatoye, Novoye, Mirnoye and Kharkovo in the Zaporozhye region, and Novaya Kakhovka and Sagi in the Kherson region," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Monday.

Air defense forces intercepted three projectiles fired by Olkha rocket launchers and U.S.-made HIMARS high mobility artillery rocket systems over the past day, he said.

The command post of the 100th Territorial Defense Brigade was hit near Serebryanka in the DPR over the past 24 hours, Konashenkov said.

"An ST-68 radar for detecting low-flying targets was also destroyed near Trudovoye in the Zaporozhye region," he said.

In total, Russian forces have hit Ukrainian troops and military hardware in 132 areas over the past day, Konashenkov said.
