Drones attack Energodar on Monday, some of them downed, no casualties reported - Rosatom head

VLADIVOSTOK. Sept 12 (Interfax) - A drone attack on the city of Energodar is a response to the elections held in Russia, Rosatom General Director Alexei Likhachev said.

"There were several drone attacks once again yesterday targeting the territory of Energodar. Two drones were neutralized. Another four delivered strikes, but fortunately no one was killed or injured," Likhachev told reporters.

The drones attacked the city's park, a community center, an area near the United Russia Party's headquarters, and a building housing a passport office, he said.

"As far as I understand, it is a response to the elections. The elections in Energodar were even more active than in the whole of the Zaporozhye region in terms of voting for United Russia. That is why, pressure is continuing," Likhachev said.
