Forty-one Ukrainian drones downed in special military operation zone in past 24 hours - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Sept 12 (Interfax) - Russian forces have downed 41 Ukrainian drones in the special military operation zone in the past 24 hours, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.

"Forty-one Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been downed near Kodema, Lipovoye and Klenovoye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Nikolayevka in the Kherson region, and Ocheretovatoye in the Zaporozhye region," Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Tuesday.

Air defense has intercepted four projectiles of Uragan multiple rocket launchers and U.S.-made HIMARS high mobility artillery rocket systems over the past day, he said.

"Tactical aircraft, army aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Russian contingent hit two ammo depots, those of the 44th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the 114th Territorial Defense Brigade of Ukraine, as well as troops and military hardware of the enemy in 143 areas," Konashenkov said.

A total of 467 planes, 248 helicopters, 6,669 unmanned aerial vehicles, 437 air defense missile systems and 11,793 tanks and other armored vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation, he said.
