Kim to visit Komsomolsk-on-Amur, familiarize himself with military, civilian hardware, see warships in Vladivostok - Putin

MOSCOW. Sept 13 (Interfax) - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will visit civilian and military aviation plants in Komsomolsk-on-Amur and see the capabilities of the Russian Pacific Fleet in Vladivostok, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"The president has a major program. He will fly to Komsomolsk-on-Amur from here to visit plants manufacturing aircraft, both civilian and military ones," Putin said on the Rossiya 1 television channel (VGTRK).

"The military program will continue in Vladivostok under the aegis of the Defense Ministry. It is limited to a demonstration of the capabilities of the Pacific Fleet," he said.

Later on, Kim will visit the Far Eastern Federal University and "a number of facilities of the Russian Academy of Sciences, sea biology laboratories," Putin said.
