MOSCOW. Sept 19 (Interfax) - The Russian Defense Ministry has reported intensive operations of Russian forces and heavy casualties of the Ukrainian army in Kleshcheyevka.
The ministry released footage from Kleshcheyevka on Tuesday.
The ministry said in a statement on September 16, "in the Donetsk sector, the enemy had not abandoned the plans to envelop the city of Artyomovsk in the Donetsk People's Republic but continued attacks by groups from the 28th and 93rd Mechanized Brigades, the 80th Air Assault Brigade and the 3rd Assault Brigade, unsuccessfully trying to squeeze Russian forces out of Kleshcheyevka and Andreyevka in the Donetsk People's Republic."
