YEREVAN. Sept 19 (Interfax) - The Defense Ministry of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has reported missile and artillery fire by the Azerbaijani army.
"The Azerbaijani Armed Forces breached the ceasefire by missile and artillery strikes along the entire contact line at 1 p.m. on September 19," the ministry's press service said.
It did not provide further details.
A Russian peacekeeping contingent is stationed in Nagorno-Karabakh.
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said earlier on Tuesday that a local antiterrorist operation against Armenian forces was underway in Nagorno-Karabakh.
