Pashinyan: Russian peacekeepers responsible for security of Nagorno-Karabakh's Armenians

YEREVAN. Sept 20 (Interfax) - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said he expects the Russian peacekeepers will fully ensure the security of ethnic Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh.

"If the Russian peacekeepers have come up with this proposal [on ending the hostilities and dissolving the Karabakh army] this means they have completely assumed the obligation to ensure the security of Nagorno-Karabakh's Armenians without reservations," Pashinyan said in a video address on Wednesday.

The Russian peacekeepers are supposed to provide proper conditions for "Nagorno-Karabakh's Armenians to enjoy full rights to live in their homes and on their soil," Pashinyan said.

"To live decently and safely. It is my understanding that they have assumed full responsibility for that," Pashinyan said.
