DUBAI. Sept 20 (Interfax) - U.S. soldiers will complete the Eagle Partner 2023 joint military exercise with Armenian forces on Wednesday as planned, and the exercise has not been affected by the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Al Jazeera news television network said, citing a U.S. military spokesperson.
"We were aware that they were conducting operations but we didn't assess there to be any risk to our soldiers at the time and so they remained for the duration of the exercise," the spokesperson said.
The Eagle Partner 2023 joint exercise, which involves 85 U.S. and 175 Armenian soldiers, began on September 11 at the Zar training center of the Armenian Defense Ministry's peacekeeping brigade, as part of preparations for participation in international peacekeeping missions.
