ROSTOV-ON-DON. Sept 22 (Interfax) - Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev has called on people not to go outside as there is a threat of another attack on the city.
"One more attack is possible. I ask you not to travel to the city center and not to go outside," Razvozhayev said on his Telegram channel on Friday.
People who are currently near the Black Sea Fleet's headquarters will have to head to shelters when sirens are turned on, the governor said.
"Specialists of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry are working at the scene. An air mobile group has been put on alert. Reserve hardware has been deployed. Firefighters are taking all measures to put out the blaze as soon as possible. The forces and hardware [working at the site] are being increased," he said.
Razvozhayev said earlier that a missile strike had hit the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol. A missile fragment fell near the Lunacharsky Theater in the city center, he said.
