Kazakh Ground Forces commander replaced

ASTANA. Sept 25 (Interfax) - Asan Zhusupov has been appointed commander of the Kazakh Ground Forces, the Kazakh presidential press service said.

"A presidential executive order appointed Asan Kuanyshevich Zhusupov commander of the Kazakh Armed Forces' Ground Forces," the press service said.

Maj. Gen. Zhusupov, 50, had been the commander of the East Regional Command since September 2019.

Another presidential executive order relieved Talgat Koibakov of duties as Ground Forces commander on Monday.
