MOSCOW. Sept 26 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Armed Forces have sustained heavy losses along the entire battle contact line, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.
"More than 17,000 troops were killed and over 2,700 weapons and pieces of military hardware were destroyed this month," Shoigu said at a Defense Ministry board meeting on Tuesday.
The Ukrainian army's military hardware destroyed in September includes seven U.S.-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, 77 U.S.-made M777 artillery systems, 51 self-propelled artillery systems supplied by Germany, France, Poland and the U.S., two German-made Leopard tanks, and a UK-made Challenger tank, he said.
