MOSCOW. Oct 3 (Interfax) - Russian forces ensured another rotation of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)'s observation mission at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) on Tuesday, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"The Russian Armed Forces ensured the safety of another rotation of the IAEA observation mission at the Zaporozhye NPP on October 3. In order to do this, a ceasefire was declared along the route to the designated point where the observers crossed, a ruined bridge near Kamenskoye, between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., and Russian servicemen strictly complied with it," the ministry said.
"While examining the road near the crossing point, Russian servicemen found foreign-made dud munitions from the latest systematic attacks by the Ukrainian side in close vicinity to the Zaporozhye NPP," it said.
"Despite the presence of the dud explosives, Russian servicemen provided safe passage for the mission's observers and their transportation to the plant," the ministry said.
The IAEA experts have been present at the Zaporozhye NPP since September 1, 2022, following the first visit of IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi to the plant, the statement said.
The Russian Defense Ministry released footage of the work done by Russian servicemen to ensure the rotation of the IAEA experts.
