Turkish F-16 fighter jets arrive in Azerbaijan ahead of joint drills

BAKU. Oct 20 (Interfax) - Turkish Air Force F-16 fighter jets that will participate in the Mustafa Kemal Ataturk-2023 joint exercise have arrived in Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said.

The drills will take place in Baku, the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and Azerbaijan's liberated territories on October 23-25.

Commando units of the two countries held preparatory training yesterday.

"Commando units of the two fraternal countries practiced tackling various tasks. After performing a tactical redeployment at night in conditions of limited visibility, the commandos mounted an attack, neutralizing a mock enemy sabotage group at its deployment point," the Defense Ministry said.
