ROSTOV-ON-DON. Oct 20 (Interfax) - An air defense system has downed a missile in the Sevastopol area according to tentative reports, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev said.
"An air defense system is working in Sevastopol. Preliminary findings indicate a missile was downed above the sea in the Lyubimovka area," Razvozhayev wrote on Telegram.
Relevant services are continuing to monitor the situation.
An air alert was earlier announced in Sevastopol. A smoke screen was reportedly used in the city for camouflage purposes.
